Golfers at Paradise Palms were left in shock as they witnessed a 30-minute struggle between the python and the kangaroo. The incident occurred last Saturday morning.
Robert Willemse, a golfer, told the Cairns Post that the python had bitten the kangaroo’s head and dragged it onto the course.
“Golfers nearby yelled to alert us. They said there was a python eating a kangaroo,” Willemse said.
“The python finished swallowing the kangaroo and slithered back into the bushes. It will probably rest for a few days.”

According to the golf course manager, Declan McCollam, this is the largest python ever discovered on the golf course.
He stated that the incident did not cause panic among local residents.
“The python is not dangerous to humans. Once it finishes digesting the small kangaroo, it will return to the bushes.
“The wildlife at Paradise Palms always fascinates golfers. And clearly, they are healthy and thriving,” McCollam said.
According to the golf course manager, this is the largest python ever discovered on the golf course
